Where do I get carinata seed from?

Nuseed is working through a network of local distributors for seed pick-up and/or delivery to serve growers. This information will be available at the time of signing a production contract.

How is carinata priced?

Carinata grain pricing will be outlined in the grower production contract.

What is the revenue potential of carinata in the South US?

Revenue is dependent on many factors but this harvestable cover crop has been priced to cover all costs plus provide economic benefit back to the grower.

Can I get crop insurance for carinata?

There are insurance options for carinata, please contact your local insurance agent for confirmation prior to contracting. More information (Link F10-40 in PDF).

Can I grow carinata only as a cover crop and not take it to grain?

Carinata can only be contracted through NuSeed with the intention to harvest the grain. You won't be able to get seed if you don't have a contract. If you are growing carinata with Nuseed you will be expected to harvest it for grain.
